Now, it seems that history is repeating itself but with a whole new inspiration — the wildly popular period romance, Bridgerton.
According to original advertising, the event boasted "a night of dancing, live entertainment, exquisite refreshments, and enchanting surprises."
Originally scheduled for August, the Bridgerton Ball then underwent cancellation and rescheduled without refunds, according to Eaton.
Fans feared they had been scammed after stepping into the event and found there was nothing to do. The advertised "live music" that the show is famed for was performed by a lone violin player, rather than the expected orchestra.
"Food apparently ran out after an hour, and some was raw. No one was there to pick up plates, so you had to deal with strangers’ leftovers yourself," Rachel added.
