Alec Baldwin Made His "SNL" Comeback, And The Internet Has Opinions

    Alec returned to do a spoof with Maya Rudolph's Kamala Harris.

    Alec Baldwin is back on SNL!

    Alec famously played Donald Trump during his first presidency, winning him an Emmy in 2017 and two more nominations in 2018 and 2021. He largely stepped away from the show after the 2021 shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his film Rust, with James Austin Johnson replacing him.

    The shooting occurred when a gun Alec was holding for a stunt went off, killing Halyna. Alec was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter, but the case was dismissed in July when it was found that police and prosecutors may have withheld evidence from defense attorneys.

    Last night, Alec returned to SNL — not as Trump, but as Fox News host Bret Baier.

    Alec spoofed his recent interview with Vice President Kamala Harris alongside Maya Rudolph.

    They made fun of how Bret continually interrupted Kamala.

    "Bret" got super triggered by words like "abortion," "uterus," and "menstruation."

    They mocked the moment when Kamala had to call out Bret for playing misleading clips of Trump.
